Elected roles. Each one owns a direction of the programme outright.
Local Exchange Officer for Incomings
Owns the incoming half of the programme: placing arriving students in departments at the Ain Shams Specialized Hospital, pairing each of them with a contact person, and making sure the month works end to end, from landing to certificate.

Owns the outgoing half: running the exchange exam and interviews, matching selected students to their contracts, and preparing them (documents, pre-departure orientation) for the clerkship abroad.

The research side of exchange. Handles SCORE rather than clinical placements, matching students to laboratories and mentors abroad, and hosting incoming research students here at Ain Shams.

One for each side of the clinical programme. Both also support the LORE, who runs research exchange in both directions.
Assistant to the LEO-In and LORE
Works the season alongside the LEO-In, and the LORE for research arrivals: hospital and laboratory paperwork, arrival logistics, and keeping the social programme moving while incomings are in Cairo.
Assistant to the LEO-Out and LORE
Works alongside the LEO-Out, and the LORE for research placements: supporting applicants through the process, checking documents, and keeping outgoing students on track between selection and departure.
Capacity Building Development Assistant
Builds the team’s own capacity rather than serving one direction: the trainings and workshops that prepare officers, assistants and contact persons for the work.

As many seats as there are arrivals. Open to any member each season, and where most people start.
One paired with every incoming student
Every student arriving at Ain Shams, clinical through SCOPE or research through SCORE, is paired with a contact person for their month here: the one who meets them, keeps them oriented around the hospital and the city, and makes the social programme actually happen. Recruited fresh each exchange season, and the most common first role in exchange.
