Building healthier communities.
SCOPH, the Standing Committee on Public Health, develops medical students as advocates for public health through campaigns, community-based learning, capacity building and advocacy. Its global streams include STOP TB, One Health, NCDs & healthy lifestyles, mental health, and climate change & health.
AUSSS SCOPH runs awareness campaigns, screening drives and peer-education content, led by the Local Public Health Officer (LPO).
The Standing Committee on Public Health promotes the development of medical students worldwide regarding Public Health issues through an international sharing-knowledge network, project management, community-based learning, capacity building, advocacy, exchange placements and access to external learning opportunities.

SCOPHeroes · the Hero
SCOPH members are the SCOPHeroes. Here the metaphor is the mascot. Dressed in SCOPH’s signature orange, SCOPHeroes set out to “save the nation” from public-health issues, running health-promotion, education and policy work across their communities. Every member is cast as an everyday hero for public health.
